Volunteers / Trainees
We are always in need of volunteers and trainees for general work throughout the year. It can be done for an hour or for a day. You let us know the time you have in your already busy life to give back to the community.
Some of the work our volunteers/trainees do includes:
- sorting and pricing quality used clothing and other items for the shelves and racks
- preparing and pricing toys and other household items
- checking for quality consistency
- learning basic work ethics and skill-training on the cash register and computer
Census 2006 stated that next to public administration, the retail industry is our largest employer in New Brunswick.

I wish that you were based here in Saint John. I frequently “purge” my closets, cupboards and other storage spaces of things that I no longer need but know that someone else would appreciate. It can be a challenge to find good homes for my castoffs, ensuring they’ll land in the hands of someone who could really use them.
